Open every weekday, all year
We're open Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, all year except the holidays listed below.
Drop-off is between 7:30 and 8:30am. You can pick up any time before 5:30pm. Our teachers' day ends at 5:30, so please be on time. A late fee applies after 5:30.
We're at 177 Green St, Jamaica Plain, a short walk from the Green Street stop on the Orange Line. When you visit, walk around to the back of the building and take the ramp up to our main door. There's a stroller shed on the side of the school where you can leave a stroller for the day.

Tuition
We care for children from 3 months to 5 years old.
Tuition is weekly. It depends on your child's age and how many days a week they come.
Full day: 7:30am to 5:30pm, for every age group.
Morning program: 9:00am to 12:30pm, for toddlers and preschoolers.
Days per week: Toddlers and preschoolers can come 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week. Part-time for infants is more limited.
Part-time spots depend on what's open in each room, so ask us what's available for your start date.

Siblings get 15% off tuition for the second child.
Deposits and payments
Registration fee. To register your child, send our one-page registration form with a $100 non-refundable registration fee.
Deposit to hold your spot. We also ask for a deposit equal to two weeks of tuition. That holds your child's spot. It is applied to your last tuition payment when your child leaves, as long as we have two weeks' written notice. If your child does not start with us, the deposit is not returned.
Leaving Sunny Bear. Please give us two weeks' written notice before your child's last day. Tuition is due during the notice period, and your deposit is applied to your final payment.
When tuition is due. Weekly tuition is due on the first day of each week. Monthly tuition is due on the first of the month.
How to pay. Cash or check, made out to Sunny Bear Academy. You can drop it off at the front desk or mail it to 177 Green St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
Late pickup. We close at 5:30pm. A late fee is charged after 5:30.
Extra hours. Children in the morning program who stay past their hours are charged for each extra hour.
Good to know
Vouchers. We accept Massachusetts child care vouchers. If you have one, or you're applying, tell us early and we'll help with the paperwork.
Sick days and vacations. Tuition is a fixed weekly rate. We don't prorate for sick days, vacations, or other days your child stays home. If something serious comes up, like a family emergency, please talk to us.
Dependent care forms. We're happy to fill out dependent care reimbursement forms for your employer or FSA.
